Christer Blom, P.Eng
Christer brings more than 18 years of experience as a consulting Mechanical Engineer in Sweden and Canada, having worked on a wide range of commercial, industrial, civic, residential and educational projects. Specializing in sustainable designs for HVAC, plumbing, and district energy, he also has considerable industrial process systems, energy audit and energy modeling experience.
Senior Project Manager
Mark is a Senior Project Manager at m3 mechanical consultants inc. and has over 35 years experience in all aspects of mechanical consulting engineering in different roles. Mark co-founded Hirschfield Williams Consultants Ltd. in 1997 in Victoria. The firms focus was institutional projects in health care, post secondary and light industrial. The firm grew to 23 staff before acquisition in 2010 by WSP (previously Genivar). Mark's primary focus is the Quality Assurance Manager for m3.
Office Manager / Accounts
Elaine began her Career at Hirschfield Williams Timmins Ltd. in 1997 along side Mark Williams and Rob Hirschfield. She has 24 years experience as a Comptroller and her expertise and knowledge helped grow the company until it was acquired by WSP in 2010.
Brenton Williams, AScT
Brenton is a founding partner of m3 and has been working in mechanical engineering consulting for 16 years focused mostly on Vancouver Island. During his career, he has been exposed to all most types of projects for HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Suppression building systems. Brenton is responsible for the daily operations of the company and performs the roles of Project Manager and Designer for a portion of m3 Projects.
Brian Cockburn, P.Eng
Brian graduated with his Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma in 2002 from Camosun College and his B.Eng from the University of Victoria in 2008. His experience includes manufacturing, heavy industry, and building services.
Brian began consulting in HVAC, plumbing, and fire suppression design with Avalon Mechanical in 2010. He joined m3 in 2020 to continue delivering high quality mechanical designs for projects in and around Victoria BC.
Santosh graduated from Camosun College with his Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma in 2018 and has worked in Mechanical Engineering Consulting for the last 2 years before joining m3 in 2021. Santosh is a Project Designer and works with our senior staff to oversee the completion of our projects from design to construction.
Trace Grunerud, P.Eng
Trace became a Principal in m3 in 2019 and brings over 12 years of experience as a consulting Mechanical Engineer to our Senior Management Team. After starting his career in the Northwest Territories, he relocated back to Victoria in 2013 to better serve the local market Trace has over a decade’s experience delivering Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Suppression, and Renewable Energy services to a broad range of clients.
Thomas Barber, EIT
Thomas graduated with his B.Eng from the University of Victoria in 2017. Throughout school he gained experience in the Architecture and Mechanical Consultation fields and upon graduation started working for the Department of Defence in Victoria. Thomas joined m3 in summer 2018 to pursue his career goals in the Mechanical Consultation field.
Thomas has worked on a wide variety of projects that have set a firm base of knowledge and design.
